Here’s the photo I used to match the film. The Photo and the RGB ParadeĪs I mentioned before, the photo I wanted to match was from a series of photos taken when my family had a photo shoot done late July by Atil Inc. I know just enough to be dangerous and to make my work look the way I want. Secondly, and most important, I am NOT a professional colorist, nor do I play one on TV. But it can most definitely give you a great starting point and keep you in the general area. So be under no illusion this will give you a consistent set of values throughout your entire film. Luminance values could be changing throughout the shot as you and/or your subject(s) move, clouds move, time of day changes, etc. Video on the other hand is always moving.
A photo is a moment in time, as such, luminance and color values are static. First, keep in mind that photos and videos are inherently different. Before we get started there are two things I want to point out.
